Privacy Policy
Last updated October 20, 2026
The short version: we collect your contact details when you ask for an audit, book a call, or sign up for updates, we use them to follow up with you, we store them with a few service providers, and we never sell them. The details are below.
01Who this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how SelfMadeMe Inc. ("SelfMade", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit selfmade.co, run the free creative diversity audit, or book a call with us (together, the "Site").
It does not cover information we handle while delivering paid services to a client. That is governed by the client's service agreement. It also does not cover third-party sites we link to, such as Skipper or Calendly, which have their own policies.
02What we collect
Information you give us
- Audit email gate. To view a full audit report we ask for your name and work email. We also record which brand you ran the audit on.
- Booking a call. When you schedule through the embedded Calendly form we receive your name, email, company, brand website, approximate monthly ad spend, the package you were looking at, and anything you type into the notes field.
- Email signup. If you enter your email in the footer signup, we receive that email address and store it with our other lead records.
- Direct contact. Anything you include when you email us.
Information about brands you audit
When you enter a brand name in the audit tool we look up that brand's publicly published ads in the Meta Ad Library and classify them. This is public advertising data about a company, not personal data about you, but we note it here because the brand you enter is stored with your lead record.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and timestamps. We use these for security and to keep the Site running.
- Browser storage. We save a few values in your browser's local storage so the Site remembers them on your next visit: your name and email after you complete the audit email gate (so you are not asked again), the monthly ad spend, package, and add-ons set in the pricing calculator, and your high score in the game that plays while an audit runs. You can clear these in your browser settings.
- Booking details. When the booking calendar loads, we send Calendly the ad spend, package, and add-ons currently set in the pricing calculator. They prefill the booking form and are attached to your booking as tracking labels (for example, your ad spend is sent as the "utm_term" value), so we can see which page and package led to the call.
03How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Deliver the audit report you requested and follow up on it.
- Schedule and prepare for the call you booked.
- Contact you about our services. You can tell us to stop at any time by replying to any message or emailing us.
- Send updates to the address you gave in the footer signup. Reply or email us at any time to stop.
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Site and the audit tool.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
06How long we keep it
We keep lead records (name, email, company, brand, ad spend, notes) for as long as we have an ongoing conversation with you and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick it back up. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. You can ask us to delete your information at any time; see the next section.
07Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. You can also object to us contacting you. To do any of these, email will@selfmade.co from the address you used with us. We will respond within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to complain to a data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
To stop email updates, reply to any message or email us. To clear the values saved in your browser (the audit gate name and email and the calculator settings), clear site data for selfmade.co in your browser.
08Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on the systems where leads are stored. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
09Where your data lives
SelfMade is based in the United States and the service providers listed above process data there. If you visit from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and stored in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
10Children
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email or with a notice on the Site.
12Contact
Privacy questions or requests: email will@selfmade.co or write to 138 Mulberry Street, 3A, New York, NY 10013. Our Terms of Service cover the rest of your use of the Site.
